Pallet Carton Wrapping with Machine Film

Manufacturers, distribution centers, and 3PL warehouses often wrap full pallets of cartons using automatic or semi-automatic wrapping machines. These pallets are typically uniform in shape but can vary in weight and stacking height, and the film must run smoothly at high speed without breaking or causing machine stoppages.

For this application, we recommend machine stretch film with consistent thickness and stable unwind, matched to the wrapper type — turntable, rotary arm, or inline. Pre-stretch grades are suitable for reducing film consumption per pallet, while higher-thickness grades provide extra containment for heavy or unstable loads. The film is applied with overlapping layers and reinforced top and bottom wraps to lock the cartons together.

The result is a stable, unitized pallet that holds through forklift handling and transport, with fewer film breaks, reduced downtime, and lower film cost per pallet.
